Excellent location for 2010 Death Ride participants!
Located one mile south of Markleeville, California off Hwy 89. Markleeville Campground, is a local favorite, offering great views, river access and terrific fishing all season long. This campground has ten campsites with limited RV access. RVs or trailers are limited to 24 ft. or less.
The Markleeville Creek runs next to the campground with most sites located on the water. This is a small campground with limited space. Though each campsite is large, parking is tight, therefore, the campsites are limited to one extra vehicle per site – no exceptions.
Day Use is also limited for the same reason but welcome Sunday through Thursday as space permits.
This campground is first come, first serve and the 2011 schedule is April 29th through Labor Day weekend. Open dates and closures are subject to weather.
This campground has water, bear boxes, vault toilets, fire pits, and BBQs. There is not a camp host on site but the campground is checked several times daily to ensure our camper's comfort and safety. Fire wood bundles are available for sale.
A new vault toilet has been added after the end of the season and the road into the campground has been reconditioned.
Markleeville is minutes from the Carson Valley, Grover Hot Springs and Turtle Rock, the start of the annual Death Ride in Markleeville, California.
