Silver Creek Campground is one of Toiyabe’s best kept secrets. This beautiful campground is situated approximately 16 miles south of Markleeville on Highway 4. When you leave Markleeville on Hwy 89, just continue south on the highway and it will turn into Hwy 4. The last 1.3 miles are single lane but well paved all the way. Silver Creek is a great campground for kicking back and enjoying the beauty of the Sierra. A creek runs at the base of the southern portion of the campground and the northern half offers some spectacular views. There is hiking, nearby fishing in the creek and east fork of the Carson River, plus bicycling, photography and great sites for family camping. The campsites are large and comfortable.

We have increased the  number of available, reservable campsites from 12 to 18... plans are underway to replace the old firepits with new fire rings. We have also converted Site 7 to a double site.

Remember, the Death Ride is on July 13th.  Get your reservations in early!
